PAST WORKSHOPS
CLAIM YOUR TIME and leave your guilt at the door
We will deep dive into how we spend the precious amount of time that is unclaimed by family and work responsibilities. We will explore how to shift to creating meaningful moments and projects, instead of frittering this time away. We will examine feelings of guilt that arise when we take time away from our families to pursue our individual dreams and goals. The workshop offers tools to help ease the guilt and foster a happier YOU
STRUCTURE & SCHEDULING
Exploring the ‘Have-to’s vs. Want-to’s
Let’s take a hard look at what’s non-negotiable for your physical and mental heath. As mothers, it is challenging to remain accountable to our goals and dreams when caring for children, working, and keeping a household running. We actively look at calendars and scheduling and make thoughtful and reach- able goals.
BEYOND THE LAUNDRY, COOKING, CLEANING, WORKING, EDUCATING & MOTHERING
Carving Out Vital Solo Time
We delve into the differences between self-care and pure pleasure, and discuss how to have both. We look at the pace, space and balance in our hectic lives and even with small amounts of unclaimed time, we look at how we can WEDGE in time for the things that you love, instead of, as one participant in this workshop said, “doing bullshit on my phone!”
SHIFTING DREAMSCAPES
Re-examining our dreams & goals in our ever-changing world
We explore the ways in which our dreams and goals have shied through the years, which ones have remained constant and which have fallen away, making room for our new and impassioned goals.
IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SAY, IT’S HOW YOU SAY IT
How healthy is your communication hygiene?
We examine the four communication styles (passive, aggressive, passive-aggres- sive and assertive) and determine which is your default style. We also examine how your family-of –origin communicated, and how the people closest to you communicate. This workshop offers practical and helpful tools that you can immediately use in your daily communication with family, friends and co-workers.
